BLA Executes Death Squad Operative, Targets Pakistani Forces in Mastung and Kech

The spokesperson of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), Jeeyand Baloch, stated in a media that their fighters targeted occupying Pakistani forces in Mastung and Kech through IED attacks, while a captured military operative in Surab was sentenced to death.

He said that yesterday in Mastung’s Dasht area, fighters targeted Pakistani foot soldiers with a remote-controlled IED while they were clearing a railway track. The blast killed one soldier on the spot and injured two others.

He added that today in Kech’s Gorkop area, fighters targeted a military vehicle with a remote-controlled IED, killing three soldiers and completely destroying the vehicle.

The spokesperson also said that on September 17, BLA fighters captured a military operative and informant, Ishaq Mengal, son of Khair Jan, resident of Chadh, Geddar in Surab, along with his weapons.

During interrogation, Ishaq Mengal revealed that he was active under the supervision of Shafiq Mengal, head of the so-called death squad formed by occupying Pakistani forces and had worked as an operative in Surab under Akhtar, son of Takari Yar Muhammad Mengal. He further disclosed that his group had assisted the occupying forces in Surab city, Geddar and Basima.

He admitted direct involvement in forcibly disappearing a youth named Sabir from Surab and participating in raids on homes in Basima. He was also involved in monitoring routes, setting up checkpoints and collecting extortion from vehicles for the military camp.

Ishaq further revealed that his group helped supply rations to the occupying forces, in exchange for which the military allowed them to carry out thefts and robberies openly.

Following these confessions, the Baloch National Court found Ishaq Mengal guilty of national treason and sentenced him to death, which was carried out yesterday.

The statement concluded that the Baloch Liberation Army takes responsibility for these attacks and announced that operations against the occupying Pakistani forces and their collaborators would continue.
