Leader of Baloch Yekjehti Committee, Sammi Deen Baloch, said that on 17 August, security forces forcibly disappeared Mir Yousuf Qalandrani from Karachi.
She said that three brothers of Yousuf Qalandrani have already been missing since 2011, along with many other relatives. Until now, no one knows where they are and in what condition they are kept.
According to Sammi Deen, state oppression, Baloch genocide and enforced disappearances have left no house in Balochistan safe. The tragedy is that the families who have been waiting for the recovery of their loved ones for the last 14 years are still without justice. Instead, more members of these same families are also being forcibly disappeared by security forces.
In the end, she asked: “If this is not genocide and colonialism, then what is it?”
