Mumtaz Baloch Released After Disappearance in March by Pakistani Forces

QUETTA: Mumtaz Baloch has been released following his reported disappearance earlier this year.

According to reports, he was subjected to forced disappearance on March 18, 2026, from the Absar area of Turbat in Kech by personnel of Pakistani forces, including the Frontier Corps.

His release was confirmed by the Human Rights wing of the Baloch National Movement (BNM), known as PAANK.

Mumtaz Baloch is a resident of Zeek Geshkore in Awaran and is known among his peers as a committed student with a strong interest in preserving and promoting the Balochi language and literature.
