Quetta: Dr. Allah Nazar Baloch, Head of the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), has termed the demise of veteran human rights leader Mama Qadeer Baloch as an irreparable loss for the Baloch nation, stating that his death marks the end of a significant chapter of resistance, human dignity and political consciousness.

In a statement released by the BLF media wing Aashob, Dr. Allah Nazar Baloch expressed profound grief and sorrow over Mama Qadeer Baloch’s passing, describing him as a fearless champion of human rights and a powerful symbol of continuous resistance against state oppression in Balochistan.

He said that Mama Qadeer Baloch was not merely an individual but an institution who provided voice, courage and direction to families of enforced disappeared persons and oppressed communities. Despite enduring the personal tragedy of his son Jalil Reki’s enforced disappearance and later martyrdom, Mama Qadeer chose to transform his grief into a collective struggle and remained steadfast in his resistance for over sixteen years.

According to Dr. Allah Nazar Baloch, Mama Qadeer dedicated sixteen years of his life to struggling against enforced disappearances, state oppression, and what he described as the genocide of the Baloch nation under extremely difficult circumstances. He played a crucial role in organizing and giving collective political form to the resistance against human rights violations.

He further stated that Mama Qadeer led historic long marches to draw international attention to state repression and exploitation in Balochistan and raised his voice at a time when enforced disappearances were at their peak. Through his efforts, he carried the Baloch nation’s voice to international forums and highlighted that human rights violations are a global political issue, not limited to any single region or nation.

Dr. Allah Nazar Baloch said that Mama Qadeer’s struggle proved that true patriotism and humanitarianism lie in standing with the oppressed. He described Mama Qadeer’s intellectual and political legacy as a guiding document for future generations.

Concluding his statement, Dr. Allah Nazar Baloch extended heartfelt condolences to the family of Mama Qadeer Baloch and prayed for patience, courage, and strength for the bereaved family, while praying for eternal peace for the departed soul.
