Quetta: Former Chairman of the Baloch National Movement (BNM), Khalil Baloch, has said that every step taken in the national struggle, every strike against oppression, and every sacrifice made by the Baloch Nation is bringing them closer to their destination of freedom.
In a statement issued to the media, Khalil Baloch said that Baloch national history is a long story of resistance and sacrifice. He stated that today’s Baloch activists are more conscious, organized and fearless than ever before in their struggle against colonialism and for national survival. He added that the Baloch youth have made it clear that national freedom is not only their right but their decision, backed by the blood, sacrifices and unshakeable resolve of the Baloch nation.
He said that the Baloch National Movement and its ideological allies have clearly conveyed to the world that Balochistan is neither an abandoned land nor a playground for the greed of powerful forces. “Whether exploitative projects or imperial investments, Baloch youth stand like a solid wall against them. Every inch of our land is as sacred as the blood of our martyrs and we will resist every plan aimed at occupying it with our national strength,” he said.
Khalil Baloch warned that every state and company casting expansionist eyes on Balochistan must understand that any imperial project in the region will be treated as an attack on Balochistan. He said the Baloch nation will not allow any state or international monopoly to collude with what he termed a colonial power to seize Baloch land and resources.
He further stated that the day is not far when the flag of an independent Baloch homeland will emerge on the world map and global powers will have to accept that strengthening Pakistan’s rule over Balochistan is a historical mistake. “The decisions about Balochistan’s future will no longer be made in the military chambers of Islamabad but in the trenches of resistance,” he said.
Paying tribute to those who have sacrificed their lives, Khalil Baloch said he salutes the brave sons of Balochistan who have proven their commitment to protecting the land not just through words but through action and sacrifice and who continue to dismantle the strongholds of oppression one after another.
