Quetta: Akmal Sharif Released After Nine Months of Enforced Disappearance

Quetta: Akmal Sharif, the son of well-known social figure and director of Sachan Grammar School, Sir Sharif Zakir, has been released after nine months of enforced disappearance by Pakistani forces.

According to reports, Akmal Sharif was abducted on the morning of February 2 this year near Park Hotel by Pakistani forces and intelligence agency personnel, along with his cousin Ehsan Sarwar. While Ehsan Sarwar was released shortly afterward, Akmal remained disappeared for several months.

Police have now handed Akmal Sharif over to his family following his recovery.
