The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a series of attacks targeting Pakistani security forces in different areas of Balochistan, including Gorkop, Nasirabad and Balicha.
According to a statement issued by BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch, the group’s fighters launched an attack on a military post located between Gorkop and Sari Kalag around 11 a.m. The post, reportedly assigned to protect a convoy, was struck with an improvised explosive device followed by direct fire. The group claims that four personnel were killed during the operation, two by the explosion and two others shot at close range.
The statement added that remaining personnel at the post retreated from the scene during the attack.
In a separate development earlier the same day, BLF fighters reportedly established a temporary checkpoint in the Nasirabad area of Turbat to observe military movement. The group also claimed responsibility for setting fire to a supply vehicle in Balicha, alleging it was being used to deliver rations to security forces. The BLF warned that individuals cooperating with the military would face consequences, reiterating its stance against what it terms as “collaboration.”
The group stated that these actions were part of its continued campaign against state Pakistani security forces in pursuit of what it describes as the liberation of Balochistan.
