Pakistani security forces have launched extensive ground and aerial operations across several regions of Balochistan, including Surab, Jhao, Noshki and Mastung.
According to local sources, Pakistani forces initiated a military operation early this morning in and around Surab. The offensive includes both ground troops and helicopter support, with loud explosions reported, believed to be the result of mortar shelling by the forces.
The operation follows an attack late last night on a checkpoint near a military camp, where security personnel came under fire. In response, forces attempted to surround the attackers, leading to renewed clashes that have continued into today. Unconfirmed reports suggest multiple security personnel were killed, although no group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
In the Awaran Jhao area, Pakistani military operations also remain ongoing. The area has witnessed intense confrontations in recent days, with the Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) having claimed responsibility for a series of attacks targeting the military. The current offensive is seen as a continuation of those confrontations.
Meanwhile, in Noshki, forces launched another operation this morning in the mountainous areas of Duse, Manjro, and surrounding regions. Local residents reported seeing three helicopters in the area, including a gunship, and hearing multiple explosions.
In Mastung, particularly in and around the Spilinji area, military movement has been observed since yesterday, with one helicopter reportedly seen flying overhead. Ground operations are reportedly in progress there as well.
As of now, no official reports of casualties have been released.
