The protest camp organized by Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) to demand the recovery of forcibly disappeared individuals has entered its 5,883rd day in front of the Quetta Press Club. The camp was visited by various supporters and civil society members, including former Chairman of the Baloch Students Organization (BSO), Muheem Khan Baloch, under the leadership of VBMP Executive Committee member Niaz Muhammad Nechari.
Muheem Khan Baloch expressed grave concern over the rising number of enforced disappearances in Balochistan, the extrajudicial killings of missing persons, and the failure of authorities to secure their release. He warned that the continued use of force and unconstitutional measures would only deepen the sense of alienation among the people of Balochistan and worsen the situation further.
He called on the government to refrain from the use of coercive and unlawful tactics in Balochistan, emphasizing that the region’s crisis is political in nature and must be addressed through political dialogue and democratic means. He urged authorities to ensure the safe recovery of missing persons and to put an immediate end to the practice of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings of Baloch citizens.
