In a deadly ambush on the National Highway near Choto in Mastung district, unidentified armed assailants opened indiscriminate fire on a police vehicle belonging to the Balochistan Constabulary. The attack claimed the lives of Acting Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Abdul Razzaq Swati and one other officer, while two personnel sustained injuries.
Following the incident, the injured officers were swiftly shifted to a nearby hospital, where they are currently receiving medical treatment.
As of now, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
