Quetta: Candlelight Walk Held in Memory of Zeeshan Zaheer Baloch, Tribute to His Resistance Against Genocide

Quetta: A peaceful candlelight walk was organized today in Shalkumbirani by the Baloch Yekjehti Committee, Panjgur Zone, to honor the memory of activist Zeeshan Zaheer Baloch. The event was attended by several members and supporters of the organization.

Participants paid heartfelt tribute to Zeeshan Baloch for his unwavering struggle against the ongoing Baloch genocide and his commitment to justice. Zeeshan was the son of Zaheer Baloch, who has been forcibly disappeared for over a decade. Zeeshan himself was reportedly abducted by state institutions for raising his voice for his father and other missing Baloch persons. His tortured body was later recovered, bearing signs of brutal abuse.

Speakers at the event said that the land of Balochistan bears witness to thousands of such tragic incidents, where individuals are routinely subjected to enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings. They added that the courage and resistance of youth like Zeeshan Baloch serve as a powerful reminder that the Baloch nation will not back down from its struggle against oppression and genocide.
