Balochistan: Two Baloch men, Sagheer Ahmed Baloch and his cousin Iqrar Baloch, were forcibly disappeared while traveling from Awaran to Turbat. According to Sagheer’s sister, Naseeda Baloch, the two were abducted after being forcibly taken off a passenger bus at Ormara.
Naseeda revealed that Sagheer was the sole breadwinner of the family, and also a key source of support for the children of his sister Hameeda. “The disappearance of two members of the same family in a single day is an unimaginable tragedy,” she said, adding that “only the affected families can truly understand the pain of such loss.”
Naseeda Baloch has made a heartfelt appeal to national and international human rights organizations, as well as political parties, civil society groups and student organizations, to raise their voices for the immediate and safe recovery of Sagheer and Iqrar.
It is worth noting that enforced disappearances have long plagued Balochistan, drawing consistent concern from human rights groups across the globe. Activists and families continue to call for an end to these illegal abductions and for justice for the disappeared.
