A military operation by Pakistani forces is currently underway in the Kech, Balochistan, with reports of heavy gunfire heard in the area.
According to sources, early this morning, a large number of Pakistani military personnel along with operatives of state-backed death squads launched an operation in the Kech Kaur area of central Turbat. Witnesses reported intense gunfire that continued for an extended period following the entry of forces into the area.
Further reports indicate that four additional military vehicles were seen heading towards Kech Kaur later in the evening.
So far, no casualties or arrests have been reported. Additional details are awaited.
