A large protest rally was held in Mawach Bazaar, Khudabadan, in the Panjgoor, Balochistan against the killing of Zeeshan Zaheer by members of a state-backed armed group commonly referred to as a death squad.
A significant number of people participated in the rally, raising slogans against state terrorism, death squads, and atrocities committed by Pakistani forces. Protesters carried placards and banners bearing slogans condemning state oppression and the ongoing targeted killings of Baloch youth.
Demonstrators stated that state policies have plunged Balochistan into instability and fear, and that Baloch youth are being targeted on a regular basis.
Calling for unity and solidarity among the Baloch people, protestors emphasized that it has become essential to raise a collective voice against violence and repression.
On the central call of the Baloch Yekjehti Committee, a silent walk was also organized in memory of martyred Zeeshan Zaheer. The walk began from Mawach Chowk and proceeded to Khudabadan’s Kahoor graveyard, where participants visited his final resting place.
A large number of women, men, youth, children, and elderly participated in the walk. At the gravesite, women draped a traditional Balochi chador over the grave and laid flowers. The atmosphere at the cemetery was deeply mournful, with emotional scenes witnessed throughout the gathering.
