Noshki, Balochistan : The Balochistan Levies Force has dismissed five personnel from service following an armed attack on the Kachki Levies checkpost in Noshki. The assault, which occurred on June 23rd, was claimed by Baloch armed organizations that have intensified their operations across the province in recent months.
The attack targeted a key Levies checkpost situated on the RCD Highway (N-40), where militants overpowered the stationed forces, seized official weapons, and torched a government vehicle. The same day, several other checkposts and a police station in the region also came under coordinated attacks, all of which were later claimed by Baloch armed groups.
In the aftermath, Balochistan Levies Force Director General Abdul Ghaffar Magsi ordered strict disciplinary action. Acting on his directive, the Deputy Commissioner of Noshki dismissed five Levies personnel under the Balochistan Levies Force Disciplinary Rules, 2015. The dismissed officials include:
- Muhammad Khan (Risalder)
- Shoukat Ali, son of Muhammad Azam (Sepoy)
- Siraj Ahmed, son of Noor Ahmed (Sepoy)
- Muhammad Tayyab, son of Abdul Hameed (Sepoy)
- Muhammad Naeem, son of Abdul Rehman (Sepoy)
Authorities stated the dismissals were due to the personnel’s failure to respond appropriately during the attack a security lapse deemed unacceptable amid growing militant threats.
This is the second round of mass dismissals within a week. Just five days ago, 30 other Levies personnel were also terminated on similar grounds after failing to prevent or respond to militant incidents in the region.
