A deadly shooting incident took place in the Matti Cross area of Surkharan, located in Kharan district of Balochistan, leaving one person dead and another seriously injured.
According to Levies sources, the incident occurred on Sunday evening when unidentified armed assailants opened fire on two individuals at Matti Cross. As a result, Muhammad Irfan, son of Ghulam Farooq, a resident of Dhadar in the Sibi was killed on the spot.
The second victim, Ikhlaq Ahmed, also son of Ghulam Farooq, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.
The motive behind the attack remains unknown at this time.
