Chaghi: Ban Imposed on Motorcycle Pillion Riding After Attack on Levies Station

The district administration of Chaghi in Balochistan has imposed an indefinite ban on pillion riding on motorcycles. According to a notification issued by the Assistant Commissioner of Nushki, the ban is effective immediately, though women and children are exempt.

Authorities stated that the decision was taken in light of recent security concerns, particularly following an armed attack on the Kuchaki Levies station on Sunday. Sources reported that the assailants attacked the Levies station and checkpoint located on the RCD Highway (N-40), setting the checkpoint ablaze in the presence of Levies personnel.

The attackers also torched official vehicles and a motorcycle, and looted weapons from the post before fleeing the scene.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
