BLA Claims Responsibility for Attacks on Military Checkpoint and Resource Company Vehicles in Quetta and Mastung

The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for recent attacks targeting the Pakistani military and vehicles belonging to resource-extracting companies in Quetta and Mastung.

In a statement issued to the media, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch stated that BLA fighters carried out two separate attacks against what he described as the “occupying Pakistani military” and exploitative companies involved in the plundering of Balochistan’s natural resources.

According to the statement, on the night of June 26, BLA fighters launched a grenade attack on a military checkpoint in the Hazarganji area of Quetta, inflicting both human and material losses on Pakistani forces.

The spokesperson added that earlier today, in Mastung, BLA fighters targeted five vehicles linked to exploitative projects. Three of the vehicles, reportedly transporting materials for the Reko Diq project, were set ablaze and destroyed near the Balochistan Hotel on the main highway. Additionally, a vehicle associated with the Saindak project and another transporting minerals from Noshki to steel mills were attacked and damaged near Rehman Hotel and Koh Noor Hotel.

The BLA reiterated its earlier warning, issued a day prior, demanding all individuals involved in such resource extraction projects to immediately withdraw. The group warned of intensified attacks in the future, declaring that the plunder of Baloch resources would not be tolerated.
