BLF Salutes Brave Martyrs of Gresha in Fierce Clash with State Forces

Gresha, Balochistan : The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has confirmed that three of its fighters were martyred during a clash with operatives of a state-sponsored death squad in the Badrang region of Gresha. The encounter occurred during a routine organizational patrol conducted by BLF fighters in the area.

According to a statement released by BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch, the firefight resulted in the death of one enemy operative and left several others wounded. The three BLF members who lost their lives were identified as Second Lieutenant Maqbool Baloch alias Qandeel, Siraj Baloch alias Zubair and Khalid Baloch alias Safar.

Profiles of the Martyrs

Second Lieutenant Maqbool Baloch, son of Nosherwan and a native of Jawarji, Gresha, was a highly educated youth who had studied at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) in Islamabad. In 2021, he was forcibly disappeared by state agencies and subjected to seven months of torture before being released. He joined the BLF in 2022, rapidly distinguishing himself through his intellectual sharpness, military skills and organizational dedication. His efforts earned him a position in the elite “Qurban Unit,” known for undertaking key missions in Kalatkor, Gichk, Mashkay, Jhao, Wadh, Ornach, Naal, and Gresha.

Siraj Baloch, son of Daulat Baloch and resident of Bahri, Gresha, was abducted by state forces in 2020. After his release, he maintained strong ideological commitment and joined the BLF a year ago. He actively participated in several sensitive military operations in the region.

Khalid Baloch, son of Muhammad Bakhsh from Gishtari, Gresha, was also a victim of enforced disappearance in 2020. Following his release, he aligned himself with the national struggle and became a member of the BLF. Over the past year, he played a critical role in the group’s operations across Jhao, Ornach, Naal, and Gresha.

In its statement, the BLF paid tribute to the fallen fighters, describing them as “brave sons of the Baloch nation who laid down their lives for the sacred cause of freedom.” The group vowed to continue their mission with unwavering determination.

“Their sacrifices are guiding lights on our national path,” said spokesperson Gwahram Baloch. “We honor their legacy and renew our commitment to the struggle for an independent Balochistan.”
