Young Man Forcibly Disappeared by Pakistani Forces in Mastung, Quetta-Karachi Highway Blocked in Protest

In the early hours of Thursday, Pakistani security forces allegedly carried out a raid in the Killi Kongarh area of Mastung, leading to the forcible disappearance of a local youth.

According to local sources, at approximately 2:30 AM, personnel from the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and Frontier Corps (FC) stormed a house and detained Aziz-ur-Rehman, son of Takari Safar Khan. He was reportedly taken to an undisclosed location, and his whereabouts remain unknown since the arrest.

In response, the family of Aziz-ur-Rehman, along with local residents, launched a protest and blocked the Quetta-Karachi National Highway at Ghulam Pringz. The blockade has disrupted traffic and drawn attention to the ongoing issue of enforced disappearances in Balochistan.

The protesting family has demanded the immediate release of Aziz-ur-Rehman. “We are protesting peacefully, but we will not remain silent,” said a family spokesperson.
