SUI, DERA BUGTI: The Baloch Republican Army (BRA) has claimed responsibility for a sabotage attack that destroyed a 36-inch diameter gas pipeline transporting gas from the Sui gas fields to Karachi.
In a statement issued to the media, BRA spokesperson Sarbaz Baloch stated that Baloch fighters targeted the pipeline at the Dondai area of Sui Tehsil using explosive materials. The blast caused a massive fire and disrupted gas supply along the route.
According to the BRA, the attack was carried out in retaliation for the recent killing of unarmed forcibly disappeared Baloch youth in what the group described as a “fake encounter” by Pakistani forces.
The BRA has officially claimed responsibility for the operation and warned of continued resistance against what it calls the exploitation of Baloch resources and human rights violations in Balochistan.
