Balochistan: Enforced Disappearances Continue; Several Enforcedly Disappeared from Mastung, Panjgurn and Kech

Mastung: The wave of enforced disappearances in Balochistan continues, with Pakistani forces reportedly enforcing the disappearance of several individuals from different regions, including Mastung, Panjgur, and Kech.

Late last night, three men were reportedly enforcedly disappeared by Pakistani forces during raids in separate areas of Mastung. The individuals have been identified as:

  • Asim Farooq Shahwani, son of Haji Ghulam Farooq, from Karez Sur village,
  • Muhammad Wafa Shahwani, son of Haji Muhammad Ashraf, from Khadkocha,
  • Khaleel Ahmed Shahwani, son of Haji Muhammad Ibrahim, a tuberculosis patient recently returned from a preaching mission, from the village of Konghar.

According to family sources, the three men were taken from their homes during late-night raids and have not been seen since.

Additionally, on May 29, two young men were reportedly enforcedly disappeared by the Frontier Corps (FC) in Mastung. The victims were identified as Bismillah, son of Ghulam Sarwar, and Samiullah, son of Muhammad Hanif—both residents of Padangabad, Mastung. Local sources reported that the two were detained by FC personnel while traveling from Mastung to Manguchar.

In Panjgur , Pakistani forces conducted late-night raids in several areas of the Parom tehsil. On the night of May 31, around midnight, security personnel surrounded entire neighborhoods in Rahimabad and Naeemabad. During these raids, a young man identified as Shehzad, son of Nazir, was enforcedly disappeared and taken to an unknown location.

According to Shehzad’s family, he was taken from his home in Rahimabad. His cousin Bashir Ahmed stated, “My cousin Shehzad was enforcedly disappeared from Rahimabad, and our house was also raided later. A few days ago, my younger brother, Jangiyan Baloch, was also enforcedly disappeared and remains missing.”

Meanwhile, in Kech, Pakistani forces and intelligence personnel reportedly enforcedly disappeared two more young men during a raid last night. The disappeared individuals have been identified as Murad Jan, son of Lal Bakhsh, and Rashid, son of Patian—both residents of Kaldaan in the Dasht region.

No official statement has been issued by authorities regarding these incidents, and the whereabouts of the enforcedly disappeared individuals remain unknown.
