Sanjawi: Another Victim of CTD’s Alleged Fake Encounter Identified as Forcibly Disappeared Person

Another individual killed in an alleged encounter staged by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in the Sanjawi area of Ziarat district, Balochistan, has been identified as a previously forcibly disappeared person.

The deceased has been identified as Malik Khair Muhammad Hasni, a resident of Thal Chotpal Bannikot. He had reportedly disappeared from Duki five months ago.

The CTD had earlier claimed that seven “militants” were killed in an armed clash and that weapons were recovered from them. However, it has now been confirmed that at least two of the slain individuals were already reported missing.

Previously, one of the victims was identified as Gul Muhammad Marri, son of Ghulam Nabi, a resident of Harnai. Gul Muhammad was forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces on December 20, 2023, from Sanjawi. His family had reported his disappearance to Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), which had submitted his case to the Commission on Enforced Disappearances.
