The central spokesperson of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) stated in a press release that the hunger strike of Dr. Mahrang Baloch, head of the BYC, along with central leaders Shah Jee Sibghatullah, Bibagar Baloch, Gulzadi Baloch at Huda Jail Quetta, and Beebow Baloch imprisoned in Pishin Jail, has completed 24 hours.
They said that the BYC leaders continue their hunger strike inside the jail in protest against the illegal transfer of Beebow Baloch from Huda Jail Quetta to Pishin, and the brutal torture inflicted on Dr. Mahrang, Beebow Baloch, and Gulzadi Baloch by illegally entering the jail premises. Due to the hunger strike, the health condition of our leaders is deteriorating. If anything happens to any of our comrades during this time, the full responsibility will lie directly on the State of Pakistan, the so-called provincial government, Corps Commander Quetta, DC Quetta, Commissioner Quetta, and IG Police Quetta.
The spokesperson further said that today our comrades visited Beebo Baloch in Pishin Jail. After enduring brutal torture, her health has worsened severely, and we are extremely concerned about her condition.
They added that we appeal to all political and social organizations of the Baloch nation to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Baloch Yakjehti Committee against this Baloch genocide and hostility, and take to the streets in protest. We also make it clear to the state that we will not remain silent in the face of this brutality under any circumstances, and our future political course of action will be even more intense.
