A baseless case has been filed against Mama Qadeer Baloch, Vice Chairman of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), and Secretary Hooran in Special Anti-Terrorism Court No. 2, Shaal. The court has declared these human rights leaders as fugitives and issued newspaper announcement against them.

According to the court notice, both individuals have allegedly gone into hiding to evade arrest warrants, and they have been ordered to appear before the court on March 28.VBMP strongly condemns this fabricated case, denouncing it as part of the ongoing state crackdown on human rights activists in Balochistan. Both VBMP leaders are key figures in the movement for the recovery of forcibly disappeared persons, and such actions further undermine the judiciary’s credibility.
On Wednesday, under the leadership of Mama Qadeer Baloch, the VBMP protest camp for forcibly missing persons continued, marking its 5772nd day. Political and social activists from Kalat, including Haji Munir Ahmed Shahwani, Dur Muhammad Baloch, and others, visited the camp to show solidarity.Speaking to delegations, Mama Qadeer Baloch stated that enforced disappearances in Balochistan are on the rise, and those advocating for human rights are also being targeted. He accused Pakistani authorities of wanting to suppress the movement while subjecting people to ongoing oppression. “Even our right to protest has been restricted,” he added.
He further highlighted the violence during the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) strike, where demonstrators faced brutal state repression. The peaceful protest against mutilated bodies and extrajudicial killings was sabotaged by the martyrdom of three more Baloch individuals. In this attack, Habibullah Samalani, Imdad, and 12-year-old Nehmat were shot and killed.Mama Qadeer Baloch asserted that such atrocities will neither win the hearts of the Baloch people nor subjugate Balochistan. He emphasized that the ruling authorities must recognize and respect the full rights of the Baloch nation.
