In front of the Shaal Press Club, the protest led by Mama Qadeer Baloch, Vice Chairman of Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), continues in pursuit of justice for the families of extrajudicially killed individuals and the recovery of forcibly disappeared persons.
On Thursday, the protest marked its 5751st day. Political and social activists, including Abdul Jabbaar Kakar, Noor Muhammad Achakzai, and others, visited the protest camp to express their solidarity.
Addressing the delegations, Mama Qadeer Baloch stated that Balochistan has endured a relentless cycle of bloodshed and oppression for years. He emphasized that both Baloch and Pashtuns face the same plight, sharing common struggles and aspirations. He further highlighted that education has been deliberately restricted for students in Balochistan, with institutions shut down and students living under the constant threat of enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings. He lamented that the state has made even a moment of joy a crime for both Baloch and Pashtuns.
Mama Qadeer condemned the indifference of Baloch and Pashtun parliamentary politicians, who, despite being in the opposition, continue to ignore these grave injustices while pursuing their own interests.
Meanwhile, the families of the disappeared remain on the streets, desperately searching for their loved ones.
