The protest camp of the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) , led by Mama Qadeer Baloch , continues in front of the Shaal Press Club , the central city of Balochistan. On Wednesday, the protest camp marked 5766 consecutive days.
Advocate Imran Mirwani and others visited the camp to express solidarity with the families of the victims. The VBMP demands the recovery of enforced disappearances and justice for individuals killed in extrajudicial executions. Delegations visiting the camp voiced their support for VBMP’s objectives and demands, emphasizing that enforced disappearance is an unacceptable act in any society. They described it as a form of collective punishment — not only denying the victim’s fundamental right to be presented in court but also subjecting the entire family to prolonged suffering.
Speaking to the delegations, Mama Qadeer Baloch remarked that while the colonial era ended in the region, Balochistan continues to struggle for its basic rights and human freedom . He condemned the Pakistani forces and intelligence agencies for acting above the law, inflicting abuses on the Baloch people that surpass colonial-era atrocities.
He added that innocent people face enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings simply for speaking or writing against these injustices. Those striving to highlight the Balochistan issue on the international stage are systematically targeted by state-backed elements through unlawful means.
