Mastung (Monitoring Desk): The relatives of three forcibly disappeared individuals from the killi Sufaid Belandi Laka Mastung, held a press conference in Mastung, announcing that if their loved ones are not released by tomorrow morning, they will block the main highway at Nawab Hotel.

They shared the details of their loved ones’ enforced disappearances, stating that last night, during a raid by Pakistani forces in Killi Sufaid Belandi Laka and surrounding areas, three young men were taken into custody and disappeared. The individuals include former UC Chairman Zahid son of Ashraf, Salman Baloch son of Amir Hamza and Shiraz son of Siddiq. The families of these young men held a press conference at the Sarawan Press Club, expressing their outrage at the incident.

The relatives emphasized that state oppression and cruelty have reached their peak and they will not remain silent against this injustice. They described how the bodies of their loved ones were brought to the Civil Hospital in Quetta, where they were later transported to Mastung. When they received the bodies, there were no police or CTD officials present, nor was anyone there to stop them. After bringing the bodies to Mastung, they prepared for the funeral, performed the last rites and buried their martyrs. However, before they could even drink a glass of water after the burial, officials from the FC, CTD and intelligence agencies stormed their homes. Men, women, elderly and children were subjected to brutal violence. All mobile phones and national identity cards were forcibly taken and women were dragged away in an attempt to abduct them. The three young men Zahid son of Ashraf, Salman Baloch son of Amir Hamza and Shiraz son of Siddiq were forcibly disappeared after being subjected to severe torture.

The relatives declared that this oppression is unbearable and they will strongly resist this inhumane treatment. They warned the state to immediately release their loved ones and return the confiscated mobile phones and identity cards. If their demands are not met, they announced that at 10 AM tomorrow, they will block the Nawab Hotel highway in Mastung indefinitely.

They called on all human rights organizations, media outlets, civil society and political parties to support them in their fight against this injustice. They emphasized that they would take all possible legal, democratic and peaceful measures to resist enforced disappearances and state oppression. However, if their loved ones are not released soon, their protest will escalate further.

They siad that, We made it clear that these oppressive tactics will not force Us to back down. We will continue to fight for our rights and will not rest until our missing loved ones are returned. We demand justice! We demand the return of our loved ones! our struggle against oppression will continue.
