QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: VBMP’s Protest Camp Continues for 6,347th Day, Danish Baloch and Chairman Maheem Khan Express Solidarity
The protest camp organized by the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) against enforced disappearances in Balochistan, held outside the Quetta Press Club under the leadership of Chairman Nasrullah Baloch, continued for its 6,347th day.
During this, Danish Baloch, President of Baloch Ittehad Punjab, and Maheem Khan Baloch, former Chairman of the Baloch Students Organization (BSO), visited the protest camp and recorded their protest against enforced disappearances.
They said that enforced disappearances are a serious violation of national laws and citizens’ basic rights and that the forced disappearance of a single individual plunges an entire family into distress and suffering. They demanded an immediate end to enforced disappearances and the recovery of all missing persons.
Danish Baloch and Maheem Khan Baloch said that peace cannot be established in Balochistan through the use of force and unconstitutional measures; rather, such actions will further complicate the situation. They said the issue of Balochistan is political in nature and should be resolved through political means, calling for an end to unconstitutional measures and for ensuring that the people of Balochistan are treated in accordance with national laws.
