KHUZDAR, BALOCHISTAN: The family of Asif Baloch, a student subjected to enforced disappearance, held a protest rally in Khuzdar, Balochistan, on July 18, 2026, demanding his immediate and safe release. During the protest, Asif Baloch’s mother held the Quran, appealing for her son’s safe recovery.
According to the family, Asif Baloch was forcibly disappeared by Pakistani forces on July 13, 2026, from “Eman City” on Samungli Road in Quetta. Since his disappearance, his family has been raising the issue through continued protests and press conferences, calling for his safe return.
The family has demanded that relevant authorities release Asif Baloch immediately. They said that if he had committed any offense, he should have been produced before a court in accordance with the law and his family should have been informed. They said that failing to produce him before any court and instead subjecting him to enforced disappearance, raises serious concerns over violations of his legal and human rights.
Asif Baloch’s family has appealed to the United Nations, the international community and human rights organizations to intervene immediately, urging global bodies to take urgent notice of his enforced disappearance and press for his swift and safe recovery.
