PUNJAB: At least three police officers were killed and four people injured in a suspected suicide attack in Bhakkar district of Pakistan’s Punjab province, officials said.
Bhakkar District Police Officer (DPO) Shehzad Rafiq said that, according to preliminary investigations, a suicide attacker targeted a police checkpoint in the Dajal area. As a result, three police personnel were killed, while four individuals including two police officers sustained injuries.
He further stated that Dajal is located near the border between Bhakkar district and Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
