KHUZDAR: A 22-year-old pregnant woman was shot dead by an unidentified armed man who entered her home in the Zerina Khattan area of Khuzdar, police and family members said.
According to details, the incident occurred at around 6:00 pm on Tuesday when an armed suspect entered the house of Danish Zehri and opened indiscriminate fire on his wife, Nimra, daughter of Saeed Ahmed Zehri. She was reportedly hit by six bullets and died on the spot. Family members said the victim was pregnant, describing the incident as the loss of two lives.
The attacker managed to flee the scene following the shooting. Relatives of the victim said the family had no known personal enmity or ongoing dispute, making the motive behind the killing unclear.
The family further said that more than 24 hours have passed since the incident, but Khuzdar police have neither contacted them nor made any visible progress in the case. They claimed that the station house officer (SHO) of the concerned police station has not provided any update regarding the investigation.
The victim’s parents and relatives have appealed to the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police and the Commissioner of Khuzdar to take immediate notice of the incident, ensure a transparent investigation, and arrest those responsible to deliver justice.
