Quetta: Three individuals from Surab forcibly disappeared

Quetta: Three men from Surab have reportedly disappeared in Quetta, raising concerns among local residents and human rights activists. The individuals are said to have been taken into custody by Pakistani security forces on January 23 and 24, 2026, though authorities have not confirmed their whereabouts.

The disappeared include Shahzen Ahmed, 25, a doctor,Junaid Ahmed, 22, a student and Ali Ahmed Reki, 40, a school teacher. According to witnesses, plainclothes personnel detained the men and transported them to an unknown location.

Family members said they approached local police and officials for information but received no confirmation of custody. Human rights groups and residents have called for the immediate disclosure of their whereabouts and for the men to be presented before a court in accordance with the law.
