Sui: Residents Protest Gas Blockage for Second Day

sui gas blaocked protest

Dera Bugti: Protests entered their second day in the Sui area of Dera Bugti as residents demand the restoration of gas supplies cut off to homes and businesses.

According to protesters, local gas pipelines have been blocked, leaving household connections and hotels without gas. “Our protest has been going on for two days, but authorities have come and not listened to us,” a demonstrator said.

They emphasized that protesting is their basic right. “Instead of addressing our concerns, officials have threatened to use force if the demonstration continues,” protesters added.

Residents also pointed out the perceived injustice: the blocked pipeline runs just four kilometers locally, while gas is still transported over thousands of kilometers to Islamabad. “We will not accept this unfair treatment,” they said.

The protests are ongoing as residents call for immediate action to restore gas to the area.
