Kech: Nine Pakistani Security Personnel Killed in Attack on Convoy, Bodies Shifted to Turbat

KECH: At least nine Pakistani security personnel were killed in an early morning attack on a security forces convoy in the Gomazi area of Tump, Kech, on Saturday. The bodies of the forces personnel were later airlifted to Turbat.

According to local sources, the attack took place at around 4:00 am when a Frontier Corps (FC) convoy was passing through its designated route. The attackers were positioned at close range along the route and opened intense fire as the convoy arrived at the location.

Sources said that six FC vehicles were targeted during the attack, resulting in the deaths of nine personnel on the spot. Reports of further casualties and damage are also emerging.

Initially, the bodies were shifted to the FC camp in Tump, from where they were later transported to Turbat by helicopter.

No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack. Following the incident, security measures in the area have been further tightened.
