PANJGUR: At least one person was killed and 12 others, including two children, were injured in a powerful explosion near Jamia Masjid Road in the Chitkan Bazaar.
The blast was so intense that it was heard across the city, causing panic among residents. Following the explosion, most shops in the market were closed immediately.
Police and other law enforcement agencies reached the scene soon after the incident, cordoned off the area, and began collecting evidence. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital, where the condition of some was reported to be critical.
According to initial reports, the nature of the explosion has not yet been confirmed. However, there are suspicions that the blast may have been caused by explosive material planted on a motorcycle.
