Baloch Women Forum Raises Concern Over Enforced Disappearance of 17-Year-Old Student

QUETTA: The Baloch Women Forum (BWF) has expressed serious concern over the enforced disappearance of a 17-year-old girl in Balochistan’s industrial city of Hub Chowki.

In a statement issued on social media, the forum said that Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) police personnel detained Heeralnisa, daughter of Abdul Wahid Baloch, from her home in the Jangi Goth area near Daru Hotel in Hub Chowki on December 20, without presenting a legal warrant or written order. The statement added that she has since been forcibly disappeared.

According to the forum, Heeralnisa is a resident of Kerki Tajaban in Turbat and an intermediate-level student who had recently arrived in Hub Chowki.

The Baloch Women Forum expressed grave concern over human rights violations in Balochistan, particularly the enforced disappearances of Baloch women. The forum demanded the immediate and safe recovery of Heeralnisa and called for a transparent investigation into what it described as her illegal detention.
