Quetta: The Baloch National Movement (BNM) on Thursday condemned the killing of 12 peaceful protesters by Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) in Pakistan-administered Kashmir, saying the incident exposed the country’s policies of protecting the interests of the dominant Punjabi elite while subjugating other nations.
In a statement, the party said the recent events in Kashmir highlighted the falsehood of the so-called “Two-Nation Theory,” the very pretext under which Pakistan was created. “In reality, its creation has always been about seizing the lands and resources of historical nations,” it added.
Condemning the atrocities against unarmed Kashmiris, the non-parliamentary Baloch party urged the international community to take urgent action against the ongoing media blackout and internet shutdown in Pakistan-administered Kashmir.
The statement further emphasized that the BNM has consistently advocated for solidarity and cooperation among oppressed nations. “We must unite against our common oppressor to struggle for freedom, national sovereignty, and dignity,” it concluded.
