The Spokesman of the Baloch Republican Guards, Dostain Baloch, said that the United States of America sanctions on the Baloch Liberation Army’s special unit, the Majeed Brigade, under Pakistan’s narrative are surprising. He stated that a superpower like the United States should recognize the ground realities, as the Majeed Brigade is not just a unit of the BLA but part of the broader national movement.
He said the Baloch people regard the Majeed Brigade as their savior, as it strengthens the struggle for national freedom. Today, many Baloch youth are consciously choosing the path of sacrifice for this cause, and the nation sees them as heroes.
The spokesman added that the Baloch Republican Guards want to make it clear to the world that since 1948 the Baloch nation has been resisting Pakistan’s illegal and forceful occupation of Balochistan. The Baloch resistance groups operate only within Balochistan and their aim is to protect local resources and end Pakistan’s control. The Baloch people have full rights over their resources, but Pakistan exploits them and offers them to foreign powers, while spreading the false impression that everything is normal in Balochistan. In reality, the Baloch nation and other communities deeply resent Pakistan and its institutions.
He emphasized that they are not against any foreign country, but whoever colludes with Pakistan to loot Baloch resources will be strongly resisted. He said the U.S., by believing Pakistan’s propaganda, declared the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) a terrorist outfit, whereas it is in fact a national organization engaged in a legitimate freedom struggle. The Baloch nation has a distinct identity, with its own land, language, culture and history. These facts cannot be denied and on their basis, the Baloch cannot be deprived of the right to defend their homeland and freedom.
The Spokesperson called on the United States and the international community to carefully review the ground realities, not to associate the Baloch struggle with terrorism and to support their legitimate resistance against Pakistan’s occupation.
