Kalat/Quetta: Two people, including a police constable, were killed in separate shooting incidents in Balochistan on Sunday, as authorities continue to investigate the motives behind the attacks.
In Kalat, unidentified armed assailants opened fire on police personnel, killing Constable Rab Nawaz Lehri, son of Ali Nawaz Lehri, and injuring his colleague Fareed Khan, son of Nawab Khan. According to police sources, the attackers managed to flee the scene immediately after the shooting. No group has claimed responsibility, and the motive behind the attack remains unknown.
Separately, in Quetta’s Qambrani Road area, another shooting incident claimed the life of a man identified as Haji Taj Muhammad. Rescue teams arrived at the scene shortly after the attack and transported the body to Civil Hospital Quetta. Following necessary legal procedures, the body was handed over to the family.
Authorities have yet to determine the reasons behind either of the attacks. Investigations are currently underway.
