BNP-M warns of province-wide protests over the abduction of Sardar Naseer Musiani in Zehri Operation

QUETTA: Pakistani security forces on Tuesday abducted a tribal leader along with his son in the Zehri area of Khuzdar during an ongoing operation, according to reports.
The operation reportedly included raids on houses and the establishment of checkpoints on major roads, blocking traffic to and from the local population. According to available information, Sardar Naseer Musiani and his son Zehri Khan were forcibly disappeared during the operation, while another son was injured.
Meanwhile, women staged a protest at the Bulbul area against the incident. Sources further said that additional heavy contingents of security forces have reached the area, while helicopter movements are also ongoing.
The Balochistan National Party – Mengal (BNP-M) has stated that the use of force and retaliatory actions against political leadership and workers must be stopped immediately. It said the arrest of Sardar Naseer Ahmed Musiani, his son, and other companions is condemnable and unacceptable, warning that otherwise the government and relevant institutions would be responsible for any public reaction and the resulting situation.
It added that the people of Balochistan will not accept any compromise on their political, constitutional, and democratic rights.
