GWADAR: Unidentified armed individuals on Thursday took four police personnel into custody and carried them away from Hor town of the Kontani area in Gwadar district.
According to local sources, the incident took place when the police personnel were present in the area on routine duty. Sources say that the armed individuals surrounded the officers and subdued them without giving them any opportunity to resist. Afterwards, the armed individuals also took possession of the official weapons and vehicle used by the police personnel.
According to sources, all four personnel were taken by the armed individuals to an unknown location.
However, immediately after the incident, no official statement was issued at the government level regarding the identity of the personnel, their current condition, or the full nature of the incident. No militant group has claimed responsibility so far.
