Quetta: The National Democratic Party (NDP) has confirmed that its Central Deputy Organizer, Salman Baloch, who was reportedly subjected to enforced disappearance earlier this week, has returned home safely along with his associate Deleep Das.
In a statement issued by the party’s central leadership, the NDP said:
“We are pleased to announce that our Central Deputy Organizer, Salman Baloch, has returned home safely just a while ago along with one of his fellows, Deleep Das. We thank everyone – whether individuals or fellow political parties – who stood with us in these harsh times and offered every sort of support.”
The NDP, while expressing relief over their safe return, strongly condemned the practice of enforced disappearances, terming it a continuing violation of human rights and democratic principles in Balochistan.
The party further emphasized that despite the recovery of two of its members, several others, including Ghani Baloch and Sana Khetran Baloch, remain missing, and called for their immediate and unconditional release, along with all other “illegally detained Baloch individuals.”
The NDP reiterated its commitment to pursuing peaceful and democratic struggle for justice and accountability, urging the state to end what it called a pattern of political suppression through enforced disappearances.
