BOLAN, BALOCHISTAN: Pat Feeder Canal Engineer Abducted Along with Driver in Bolan
Armed men abducted the Divisional Superintendent Engineer of the Pat Feeder Canal, along with his official driver and vehicle, from the Bibi Nani area of Bolan. The engineer was released late at night, but the driver and the vehicle remain in the abductors’ custody.
According to police, Mir Mudassir Khosa, Superintendent Engineer of the Pat Feeder Canal Circle in Nasirabad Division, was travelling from Dera Murad Jamali to Quetta when he was abducted, along with his driver and official vehicle, in the Bibi Nani area under the jurisdiction of Gogart police station.
The armed men also seized cash worth hundreds of thousands of rupees, two mobile phones valued at Rs500,000 each and other official belongings, police said.
Official sources said the abductors released Khosa late at night and he has since reached Quetta. The driver and the official vehicle are still being held. Local police have launched an investigation.
