BLF Claims Responsibility for Series of Attacks in Balochistan; Four Soldiers Killed in Awaran

Balochistan: The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for multiple coordinated attacks targeting Pakistani security forces and government installations across several districts of Balochistan, resulting in the deaths of four soldiers and injuries to several others.

According to the BLF spokesperson, Major Gwahram Baloch, the group’s fighters attacked Pakistani army personnel in the Nonddra Baret area of Awaran at around 10 a.m. on October 24. Four Pakistani soldiers were killed on the spot and several others wounded. The fighters also seized the weapons of the slain personnel during what was described as an hour-long engagement.

The spokesperson said the fighters initially ambushed army personnel patrolling near a camp and later targeted an armored vehicle that arrived to assist them, forcing it to retreat after sustaining significant damage. The fighters also claimed to have destroyed a quadcopter and surveillance cameras before safely withdrawing.

On October 23, BLF fighters carried out a three-hour blockade and snap checking at two locations along the CPEC link highway between Nall and Khuzdar. During this operation, they attacked a police station in Nall, detained and questioned police personnel before releasing them and set fire to government machinery and several vehicles.

The BLF further claimed responsibility for attacking a construction company’s camp in Kalidi, Nall, describing it as an “exploitative” enterprise. Fighters damaged heavy machinery and took company staff into custody, who are still being held for questioning.

In a separate incident on October 22, the group said its fighters targeted a vehicle transporting minerals in Kadhkocha, Mastung.

In its statement, the BLF reiterated its commitment to continue operations against the Pakistani military and companies it accuses of exploiting Balochistan’s resources, vowing to fight until the achievement of an independent Balochistan.
