Kharan: Levies Official Bashir Ahmed Kubdani Forcibly Disappeared by CTD

Kharan: Personnel of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and intelligence agencies have detained and forcibly disappeared a local Levies officer. The disappeared has been identified as Bashir Ahmed Kubdani, son of Haji Muhammad Hussain Kubdani, a resident of Kharan.

According to sources, at around 11 p.m. on October 19, six masked men traveling in three vehicles raided Bashir Ahmed’s home, took him into custody, and transferred him to an undisclosed location. Family members reported that the masked men appeared to be officials from the CTD.

The family stated that even after six days, there has been no information about Bashir Ahmed’s whereabouts. They fear that he is being held in extrajudicial detention.

In a statement, the family appealed to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kharan, District Police Officer (DPO), DIG Rakhshan, and other relevant authorities to ensure the immediate recovery of Bashir Ahmed Kabdani and to conduct a transparent and impartial investigation into the incident.
