Quetta: The spokesperson for the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), Jeeyand Baloch, said in a statement to the media that BLA fighters carried out three separate operations targeting Pakistani forces and their supply lines in Zamuran, Kalat and Mastung, while also setting up checkpoints on main highways.
According to the spokesperson, on the previous day, BLA fighters attacked Pakistani ground troops in the Zamuran area of Kech district, near Kalki, using a remote-controlled IED. The blast reportedly killed one Pakistani soldier on the spot as troops arrived to provide security for their convoy.
He added that in another operation in Kalat’s Manguchar area, BLA fighters set up a blockade on the Quetta–Karachi highway that lasted for more than an hour. When Pakistani forces attempted to advance, they came under attack and were forced to retreat. Two soldiers were reportedly killed in the assault. The forces also used a quadcopter to drop bombs, but the BLA fighters remained unharmed.
The spokesperson further stated that today, BLA fighters established a checkpoint near a grid station in the Splinji area of Mastung, where they intercepted a vehicle transporting rations and narcotics for the Pakistani military.
The statement concluded by affirming that the Baloch Liberation Army claims full responsibility for these operations.
