Quetta: The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for a series of operations targeting Pakistani security forces and police personnel in Turbat, Quetta and Kharan.
According to BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, the operations included attacks on occupying Pakistani military positions, seizure of police weapons and the establishment of roadblocks on major highways, during which two individuals were taken into custody.
The spokesperson stated that BLA fighters attacked a military checkpoint in the outskirts of Turbat using rocket launchers, causing both casualties and material damage to the occupying forces.
Meanwhile, in Quetta’s Mian Ghandi area, BLA operatives confiscated weapons and other equipment from patrolling police officers on motorcycles, releasing them unharmed after issuing a warning.
Jeeyand Baloch further reported that the previous day, BLA fighters set up checkpoints along the Kharan–Nushki and Kharan–Basima highways, conducting snap checks for more than two hours. During these operations, two suspicious individuals were taken into custody for further questioning.
