In the Tareeki Dam area of Sorab, Balochistan, dozens of armed men launched an attack and brought the area under their control.
According to eyewitnesses, the attackers blocked the road, searched passing vehicles and targeted Customs and Levies personnel. Initial reports indicate that the armed men seized two official Customs and Levies vehicles along with weapons and other equipment, while also taking personnel into custody.
Sources added that the attackers also stormed nearby Levies and Customs checkposts, seizing weapons and supplies stored there.
So far, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
