QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF), a separatist armed group, has released its operational report for October, claiming that its fighters carried out 25 attacks across Balochistan in which 129 security and intelligence personnel were killed and more than 30 seriously wounded. The group described its “Operation Almas” assault in the port city of Gwadar as the biggest action of the month.

In a statement issued to the media, BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch said the report covered the successful completion of Operation Almas and an attack on what he called a “colonial center” in Gwadar. In its summary, the group claimed more than 159 personnel were killed or wounded across all its operations and that several drones, camps and vehicles were destroyed.

The spokesperson said BLF fighters continued attacks in October 2026 on the Pakistani army, other key security institutions, intelligence networks and economic and defense installations across Balochistan. He said the campaign was carried out with continuity, wide reach and a strategic plan.

He said the attacks covered 17 areas and key highways, naming Kalat, Mand, Turbat, Surab, Chagai, Shapuk, Gwadar, Buleda, Nushki, Kolwah, Mastung, Tejaban, Awaran, Jhao, Tump, Dera Murad Jamali and Splinji. According to him, the main aim of these operations is to cripple what the group calls the state’s exploitative system and to end its military control and administrative reach in Balochistan.

Major Gwahram Baloch described the Gwadar operation as the most significant development of the month. He said the BLF’s Jind Nadri Battalion, together with other units, carried out a coordinated guerrilla operation on the main locations of the army, its intelligence network and other institutions in the coastal city.

According to the statement, the fighters broke the forces’ communication and defensive cordon and killed more than 80 military and intelligence personnel, wounding dozens more. The group claimed that the army’s main barracks, intelligence offices and several armored vehicles were destroyed, that four quadcopters and two surveillance drones were shot down in the air, and that the city’s police station was brought fully under its control.

The report said BLF fighters carried out a total of 25 organized and deadly operations in October. It claimed that these attacks killed more than 129 military and intelligence personnel and seriously wounded more than 30.

The BLF said eight of its fighters were martyred in Operation Almas and that 23 more died on various fronts during the month.

The report said enemy reinforcements, supply lines and defensive positions were kept under constant pressure. It said one “Jind Nadr” attack was carried out and that seven major military checkposts, six main military camps and two intelligence offices were hit with direct and heavy gunfire and bombardment. It said 11 military convoys were ambushed and that three strategic roadblocks were set up on main highways to disrupt the forces’ movement.

The group said it also damaged the infrastructure of the army and its supporters on the technical, communications and economic fronts. According to the report, two surveillance drones and five quadcopters were shot down and one ground surveillance camera and one mobile phone tower were destroyed. It said 14 military vehicles were completely destroyed, 15 commercial trailers and trucks that it said were involved in facilitating “exploitative projects” were disabled, and one government vehicle was seized by its fighters.

The BLF said it used a variety of guerrilla tactics against the forces during the month. It listed 10 organized ambushes, nine attacks on positions with heavy weapons, five grenade-launcher attacks, three sniper killings, two intelligence-based (IB) operations and one remote-controlled IED blast.

The group said these operations reflect its military capability and its commitment to carrying the guerrilla war to what it called its logical conclusion on every front.
